Funding for postgraduate teaching courses
How to fund a postgraduate teaching course in Ireland or Northern Ireland.
All courses in the Republic of Ireland are fee paying. Students accepted onto courses are eligible for local authority grants (subject to means testing). There are no additional financial incentives for teacher training in Northern Ireland. Students on courses of initial teacher training (ITT) will be charged up to £3,145 in tuition fees. ITT students are eligible for a non means-tested loan for fees and a maintenance grant. Further details can be found on the Department for Employment and Learning in Northern Ireland (www.delni.gov.uk).
